For a decade, kids' online safety meant screen time and strangers. Generative AI added a faster class of harm — companion chatbots, synthetic abuse material, engagement engines that push self-harm — while regulators move from soft guidance to real duties. Families feel it; few products are actually built for it.
The trust layer for children's apps is missing.We're building it — safe-by-default identity and consent, a voluntary kid-safe certification, and AI guardrails — designed to the highest credible bar so it works for children wherever they are.

How we operate
Voluntary, founder-funded, part of Quarlabs
KIDIGLOO is part of Quarlabs, a private lab that also does voluntary work on enterprise AI safety. The certification programme is run voluntarily, on our own money — no outside funding to date. That is a deliberate posture, not a limitation we're hiding: it keeps the standard independent and honest about its limits.
Capital would let us extend coverage, build the certification and AI-guardrail tooling out properly, and grow the registry — without compromising the independence that makes the mark worth trusting.
